Shaping Young Minds was born from the life Kanta Devi has lived and the quiet stories she has carried in her heart for nearly two decades. As a young psychology student in Delhi, she was deeply struck by how a child's earliest experiences shape the way they feel, grow and understand themselves.
Years later, after moving to Moscow and meeting parents, children and families who felt unheard or emotionally overwhelmed, she realised that awareness about children's mental health was not just limited—it was urgently needed.
"Every child deserves a safe space where they feel seen, understood and emotionally secure."
Kanta's professional journey spans clinical psychology, community mental health, school counselling and almost ten years of voluntary counselling for the Indian diaspora. In classrooms, community centres and living rooms where parents sought guidance, she witnessed the silent battles children often fight behind their smiles: emotions they cannot name, stress they cannot express and struggles that go unnoticed.
